Canvas and Co. is two things at once. We are an agency representing a small roster of digital artists, and we are a design studio working with founders and institutions on identity, web, and product.

Founded
The studio began with a small group of friends who were tired of briefs measured in deliverables and timelines measured in days.
We started Canvas and Co. to do less, and to do it more carefully. The agency side grew naturally from the studio. Artists we admired kept asking to be represented, and we said yes to a few of them. We continue to say yes very rarely.
Today the studio works with founders, cultural institutions, and a handful of teams inside larger companies. The agency represents eight artists working in illustration, type, motion, generative code, and 3D. The work is the work.
Four things we keep coming back to.
Restraint
We say no more often than yes. The roster is small. The client list is small. The team is small. That is the point.
Craft
We care about kerning, easing curves, and the way a paragraph breaks across a column. The details add up to the whole.
Patience
Good identities take months. Good websites take longer. We do not rush, and we do not pretend the work is done before it is.
Quietness
We do not chase awards or post case studies for clout. Our clients find us through other clients.
